ABOUT

Action in Maturity provides transportation, outreach, and social services for Baltimore’s adults over age 55. The non-profit organization offers trips of request, weekly grocery trips, and bus trips for a small fee ranging from $3-$12.** Appointment should be made at least two weeks in advance.** Call 410 889 7915 to schedule appointments or ask for more details about trips.

General Information


Action in Maturity's mission is to empower older adults in the Baltimore metropolitan area to maintain their independence and quality of life with access to transportation, outreach, and social services. The AIM drivers are trained to provide curb to curb senior-friendly transportation. AIM offers group trips for shopping and events, as well as individual rides by request to non-work destinations such as the doctor or personal errands.Members can join AIM by calling us at 410 889 7915 or clicking on the Join AIM tab above. With membership comes the monthly newsletter that includes a calendar of trips and other services. To join a trip or reserve a ride, simply call AIM to reserve a spot. Note that AIM's individual rides are not "on demand" and reservations must be made at least 10 business days in advance of an appointment.The organization also provides trips of request, grocery trips, and bus trips transportation for a small fee for AIM members. Other services provided include exercise workshops, needlecrafts, quilting, courses in computers, prevention, and legal services.

Senior Services

About

Provides information & referral, classes, social events, transportation and other services to seniors primarily residing in north Baltimore. 1) INFORMATION AND REFERRAL: Offers information and referral to services such as health programs, senior housing options, energy and pharmacy assistance, and caregiver resources. 2) TRANSPORTATION: Offers transportation by request,** call AIM’s office at 410-889-7915** at least two weeks prior to your appointment. Medical Trips are priorities. Provides door to door service for weekly grocery trips, banking and other appointments for a $3-$12 fee. Also services individuals living in private residences. Call to schedule pick-up at least 48 hours in advance. Return trip is 12:30pm. Bus trips offered, call to schedule, prepayment is required.) ACTIVITIES: Offers free yoga, quilting/needcrafts, $3 linedance, the AIM Book Club; classes in computers, prevention, and renters/properties tax applications. 4) TRIPS: Are provided to museums, lectures, concerts, the theatre, dinners, parties and sporting events and other social activities.
