Drug Court 3.1 and 3.3

About

Instead of jail time, offenders are assigned to complete a rehabilitation program. Participants: 1) are placed on supervised, intensive probation (with regular meetings with a probation officer and home visits); 2) must submit to drug testing and complete drug treatment, and 3) must complete their community service hours. A 3.1 Program provides a low intensity, clinically managed substance abuse treatment in small and large halfway houses. It is suitable for individuals who are capable of self-care but are not ready to live independently. A 3.3 Program provides a residential, medium intensity, clinically managed substance abuse treatment in a structured environment. It is suitable for individuals who are chronic alcohol- or other drug-dependent but does not require skilled nursing care. Both our offered at A Step Forward, Inc.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment and Outpatient Therapy ((IOP) and (OP))

About

Intensive Outpatient Treatment, or also known as Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), is a treatment program recommended to patients who don’t require medically supervised detox. It is primarily used to treat chemical dependency, eating disorders, and depression. IOP enables patients to continue participating in their daily tasks and responsibilities (i.e. work, school), and then participate in treatment during a specific time of the day. Outpatient Therapy provides patients with more freedom and allows them to maintain their daily schedule outside of therapy sessions. They can go home after each therapy session. Sessions focus more on individual and group counseling, substance abuse education, and teaching patients how to cope with their addiction.
