General Information


Provides residential and sober living services for women who are largely impacted by addiction and substance abuse. Offers inpatient service to women through which they can get counseling and recovery services.

To initiate a referral for your client, please complete our online form here https://tuerkhouse.org/contact/ and an intake specialist will contact you within 24 hours. Bed availability changes daily and we will work with you to get your client the care they need as quickly as possible.

Harm Reduction

About

1) CONTINUING CARE PROGRAM: Offers individual and group substance abuse counseling for people who have been through in-patient treatment and need additional help to overcome addiction. 2) INPATIENT PROGRAM: All substance abusers are placed in a holding group until a bed is available in the inpatient program. 3) OUTPATIENT PROGRAM: All appointments are scheduled for 1PM, Tues, Wed, Thurs. MUST CALL FIRST. 4) PEER SUPPORT GROUP: Meetings held on Thurs, 6PM. VOLUNTEERS: Adult volunteers are needed occasionally. Call for information. Home visits: No

Fees:

Intake Fee: Minimum $10.00/Sliding fee scale. Inpatient Program: $75, a 1 time Baltimore City Resident fee. Group Sessions: $2.00 each for inpatient and $3.00 each for outpatient. Fee for Service Beds : $96.00 a day.

Eligibility:

Drug & alcohol dependent men and women, 18 years of age and older.

Outpatient Treatment

About

Designed to transition individuals who are struggling with addiction to a life of successful, sober self-sufficiency. Individuals receive: customized rehabilitation plans to address behavioral and emotional needs; minimum of 9 hours of individual, group and/or family counseling per week; services built around the work or school schedules; medication management as needed for co-occurring disorders; and sober living housing, if necessary.

Our outpatient rehab services are also available for patients who are awaiting entry into our residential treatment programs.

Fees:

We accept most major insurance plans (Medicaid/Health Choice, Medicare, Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield (HMO and PPO), CareFirst (HMO and PPO), Cigna, Kaiser, John Hopkins Employer Health Plans). However, Tuerk House is committed to helping all people who are struggling with addiction, regardless of their ability to pay.

Peer Support

About

Peer recovery specialists work with patients to help them stay engaged in the recovery process and reduce the likelihood of relapse. They advocate for patients, helping them to set goals, build relationships, share resources, and feel supported by their peers that are going through recovery.

Residential Treatment

About

Tuerk House offers multiple levels of residential treatment designed for those who have completed detoxification and need a structured treatment to stay sober long-term:

Medium-Intensity Residential Treatment
Services include: 24/7 clinically managed care and support; daily individual and group counseling; case management for housing, employment, transportation; and specialized services as needed.

Low-Intensity Residential Treatment
Services include: 24/7 living support and structure; at least 4 hours of clinical service weekly; counseling and in-house meetings; clinical, vocational, educational and community activities.

Each day, treatment is from 8:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a lecture, small group therapy, case management, social skill development, social learning, individual sessions and self-help meetings.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

About

Medication-assisted treatment helps those struggling with substance use disorders by helping to balance the areas of the brain affected by addiction. Individualized treatment using a variety of medication options, including methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone and naloxone.
