About
MTA Mobility members can get up to 62 low-cost taxi rides each month through the Call-A-Ride program. If you still need to apply for MobilityLink, call the Certification Office at 410-764-8181 and press Option 6 to set up an appointment. You must bring your completed application to your in-person interview. Applications sent by email, fax, or mail will not be accepted.
You can also access the application here.
Once you are approved, you can call one of the taxi companies in the program to schedule your ride. Some taxis have wheelchair access, but these are limited.
You can bring up to 3 people, but everyone must get picked up and dropped off at the same place.
How payment works: A Call-a-Ride customer must pay $3.00 for each trip. The MTA will pay up to $40.00 of the total fare. If your ride costs more than $40.00, you must pay the extra amount. Example: If your ride costs $45.00, you pay the regular $3.00 fee plus $5.00(because the fare is $5.00 over the $40.00 limit). You will pay $8.00 total for the trip.
