General Information
GEDCO's CARES center offers a food pantry and emergency financial assistance for families in crisis. Pre-packaged food is provided three mornings per week (Monday, Thursday, and Saturday) at 5502 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212. You will be asked to wait outside the building while staff get your food and chairs will be provided if you cannot stand while waiting. GEDCO staff will also help eligible community members apply for Fuel Fund of Maryland benefits and find employment over the phone at 410-532-2273.

You must: 1. Be a resident of Maryland. 2. Complete an application with the Office of Home Energy Problems (OHEP) at https://www.myohepstatus.org/ 3. Meet the income requirements listed at https://fuelfundmaryland.org/get-help/eligibility-requirements 4. Your gas and/or electric services must be off or you must have been given a turn-off notice. 5. You must not have received help from the Fuel Fund in the past 12 months. 6. You must live within the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company's service area (see https://www.bge.com/DoingBusinessWithUs/Pages/RegionalDemographics.aspx)How to Apply:
